{Ice, Ice Baby}

Those of you born before 1990 will appreciate the title's reference.  Those of you not...well, just YouTube Vanilla Ice.  You can thank me later.  This area got hit hard in january 2009 by an ice storm of epic proportions.  My family was without electric for nearly three weeks (which makes one appreciate dryer-softened towels).  Unfortunately, the original pictures were lost during the hard drive crash of...well, whatever year it was.  Thankfully for you, my followers, Mother Nature again blessed us with an ice storm, although without the epic proportions.  Enjoy!!!

My husband just looked at me when I came inside from shooting the last three pictures. In freezing rain.  At night. Without a coat...he thinks I'm certifiable, I'm sure.

We spent a short time with such a beautiful family this afternoon.  I couldn't have asked for more cooperative subjects, nor could I have asked for any more adventurous.  Climb a tree? Check.  Go coatless in arctic temperatures? Not a problem!  Wade in a muddy lake-bed?  If that's what you want!  Seriously, guys, you made this session so easy and so fun!!  Shannon,Dawn, Candace, and Jordan, I hope these exceed your expectations!  Enjoy your sneak peek!!
