{Catching Up, Part I}

I knew it would eventually happen.  I was doing really well at managing the blog site, the website, juggling my other job, my children's activities, and suddenly I'm sitting here, finding myself three months behind...dang it.  I really wish there was some magic Blog Fairy that instantly uploaded photos (along with some fantastically clever comments) to this site.  Of course, I also wish there was a Laundry Fairy, a Homework Fairy (who specializes in really senseless Master's Program classes...like Ethics-I mean, who needs that, really?), and my favorite, the Personal Assistant Fairy.  I think maybe I listened to too many fables...or watched too much Disney.....
My prayers for random Fairies is not why you're visiting this blog, though.
You want to see some spectacular pictures of fabulous people and breath-taking scenery...and I am not one to let anyone down, so here we go!

{Winter Hiatus...Sort of}

This is generally our slow time of year; the time when we regroup after the holidays and plan for bigger and better things in the year to come...but that doesn't mean our cameras are put away.  I decided to put together a little conglomeration of the past few months, just so you can see what goes on in our lives!
Ginger's and Blake on Senior Night (she did make it through without a tear!)

Winter Storm #1...this snow stayed on the ground for nearly two weeks (which is quite a feat in the South).

Kitchen Remodel, Day 1...

Winter Storm #2...the Ice Apocalypse

another picture of Ice Apocalypse 2014.

Kitchen Remodel, Day 2

Our kitchen remodeling project overtook the hallway as well, since these rooms all share a common ceiling and walls.
Pantry done, walnut kitchen cabinets installed!  Cabinets by Grant's Cabinets and Millwork in Conway (these guys do a FANTASTIC job!!!!)

My not-so-baby girl...(sniff) Junior Year, Valentine Auction

Both of them...Luke (8th grade) is almost as tall as Karena is now!

We were playing around, goofing off after we got home and I took this picture...I am seriously in love with this shot...Karena, not so much!

{Cooper's 1 Year Pictures}

I have had the privilege of watching this little man grow since he was just six weeks old.  What is so special about him is that he is only four days younger than my nephew...and has the most beautiful blue eyes...and blonde hair...and smile.  Ahh, Amanda and Corey, you're just going to have to lock him up until he's 30.  The girls are going to swoon over him!!!  Here are a few of my favorites from his session a couple of weeks ago!

{Michael's First Birthday & 1-Yr Pictures}

So, I'm trying to catch up on the plethora (my high school English teacher would be proud) of photographs I've taken so far this month.  I'm combining some shots of my nephew, Michael's, first birthday party and some from his 1-year shoot since the sessions were only, like, four days apart!

It was a farm-theme, complete with some of the cutest little piggy and little sheep cupcakes!! Almost too cute to eat!!

{Kidd family}-

We spent a short time with such a beautiful family this afternoon.  I couldn't have asked for more cooperative subjects, nor could I have asked for any more adventurous.  Climb a tree? Check.  Go coatless in arctic temperatures? Not a problem!  Wade in a muddy lake-bed?  If that's what you want!  Seriously, guys, you made this session so easy and so fun!!  Shannon,Dawn, Candace, and Jordan, I hope these exceed your expectations!  Enjoy your sneak peek!!

{Cooper 6 months}

I absolutely love seeing babies grow and change during their first year :)  This little guy is going to be a heart-breaker when he grows up because even at six months, he is such a doll...and has so much personality!! Amanda and Corey, I seriously could have just taken oodles of photos of him...but I'm sure you had better things to do on a Saturday afternoon anyway.  Thanks guys for letting me capture him again...and I promise to have more well-behaved pets on your next visit :)
Hope you enjoy the sneak peek!

This is my favorite picture, artistically...I just love the shadows!
