So, today we took a drive because my husband wanted to show me an old school house. We drove to just outside a tiny community called Supply. This school was built in 1926, and abandoned in the 1950's (many, many thanks to the very generous landowner who not only endured four curious sight-seers, but gave us a plethora of information). He said that during WWII, the women of the community would gather at the school and sew tents for the military. He also noted that another, smaller brick building about 50 yards away from the school was the girls' bathroom...and suddenly I decided I was REALLY, REALLY thankful for indoor plumbing!!
