{Brayley}

This was the first shoot of the day for our "marathon photo shoot" and it couldn't have been with a sweeter subject. These were taken around 9am with the morning light.

Brayley was so sweet...she made us work a little bit...but the results were precious!
Thanks to Chris & Staci for lending us your precious daughter for the morning.

The balloons weren't really Brayley's thing, but man, when we brought out the bubbles...this little girl turned all smiles and giggles. Absolutely precious!!

Enjoy the sneak peek :)

{Blake ~ Age 17}

For a boy that despises having his picture made, he sure is photogenic!
These were taken in a meadow outside of town at sunset...absolutely loved the lighting and the venue was perfect for this outdoorsman :)
Above photo is one of my faves...golden sun....laid back attitude....
I even love his tousled hair....
and....a real smile! You just don't know how rare this is.

{Marathon Photo Shoot, Take 2}

...and we're off again!  We broke for a few hours (to try and avoid much of the heat, which was wildly UNsuccessful, as it insisted on camping out right on top of us) and regrouped Saturday evening for round two!  Many thanks to my son, daughter, and one of her BFF's for enduring the heat for Ginger and me! You guys ROCKED it!!!

{Marathon Photo Shoot, Take 1}

We picked a day to play with our cameras (again), and recruited some willing subjects for a marathon shoot...and here are a few of my favorites from the morning session (which went really well, unless you count the bumblebees and spiders...)

{Baby Kellan}

There is definitely a learning curve in shooting newborns, but I am loving the challenge.
Thank you Kiley & Carly for allowing me to "practice" on baby Kellan.

Kellan has been dancing to the beat of his own drum since his early birthday...born 6 weeks early...and today was no different. You would think a tiny 6 pound baby would just sleep, but he was wide awake and determined to pose just the way he wanted.
This is probably one of my faves...the furrowed brow, sucking on his finger, cute little nose....

Destined to be a ball player for sure...

The tenderness in this picture just takes my breath away....he completely calmed at the touch of his momma, as it should be. I love that mom isn't completely in this frame and it invites you to know more about the story.

The new family...I am so honored to capture these first moments with you guys!

{Tyler ~ Senior 2012}

A very last minute senior session done in late April....Tyler wasn't overly eager to get these shots, but he hung in there and I think we ended up doing not too shabby.

His mom's fave :)

This last one is probably one of my faves...just looks like him.

This was my first time to shoot a senior and I enjoyed it...and learned alot!!
Can't wait for the next one :)

{Tuckerman}

Heading home from Little Rock Thursday evening, I finally took the time to stop and photograph this beautiful barn that I have been aching to shoot for several months now.  The timing couldn't have been better, either, as the afternoon sun gave it such a warm light!
So, since the barn turned out so well, and since my children are always so willing to pose, AND there was still evening sun left, we decided to stop in Tuckerman and take pictures around the old buildings...but first we had to get a couple of shots of their "rebellion" standing up out of my sunroof.

{Olivia~4 Months Old}

You have to love an impromptu photo shoot, especially when your subject is as cute as this!
Look at those gorgeous eyes!

Olivia Brooke Wesley....4 months old

I can't decide if I like this better in color or black/white....both pictures to me are absolutely stunning.
So...what do you think?? Which is your fave?

Who doesn't love precious baby feet? I love to catch the little details of life...and new life is even better. And a cute baby bum on an heirloom blankie and halltree...ahh....sweetness!

{Michael's Newborn Shoot, to be continued...}

Since I was in their area last weekend, I decided to try a spontaneous newborn shoot with my newest nephew, Michael...which would have been a wonderful experience, had someone informed Michael.  He had a bit of the newborn "I want nothing to do with laying in a cute, cuddly pose" attitude, so we got what few pictures we could manage, and made a vow to check in with him in a couple of weeks!
