{Kim's Baby Shower}

Here are a few pictures from my sister's baby shower yesterday-probably just in time, too since the doctor just moved her due date up to May 9th! Many, many, many thanks to my Mom, Mary, and Renee for their hard work getting the little details worked out!! A special thanks to PattiCakes Bakery in Conway for the super cute and yummy cake!
Kim's sister-in-law made this adorable turtle for the table...

Not sure where the boxes came from, but they were so cute!!!

One of Kim's gifts was this sweet picture frame from Jonathan!

More From Kentucky

More pictures from our day trip to Kentucky...Ginger's camera :) I have to say..this was a much needed day with my best friend!

I have a fascination...or maybe obsession...with barns. I would absolutely love to photograph a bride...or a couple in front of this barn. Oh! The possibilities!
So proud of this shot. I've been working on perfecting my sunflare and this pic is incredible. Love it!
Amy in action....
Another picture I'm super proud of! This is SOOC (Straight Out Of The Camera) I mean seriously, could a sunset be any more gorgeous??!! We had planned earlier in the day to try and catch the sunset on the water....we chased this sunset and barely made it...but man...this shot made all the speeding, passing, and taking the road less traveled, worth it!

Road Trip

Very few and far between are times when Ginger and I can just hang out together (or for that matter, have conversations that last longer than two minutes) if we're not working, so we carved out one ENTIRE day just for us (and our cameras) and set off in search of photo opportunities...and 12 hours later we returned, somewhat exhausted, a little punch-drunk, and with a whole new respect for road signs!!
What follows are my contributions. Enjoy!

{just so you know, Ginger is smelling this black rock to determine if it is coal}

(this sunset is made even more beautiful by the amount of time and energy spent getting to Reelfoot Lake)

{Nashville, Opryland Resort}

We took a trip during Easter to Nashville with the Lads to Leaders/Leaderette Youth program (such a rewarding program for young people to participate in!), and stayed at the Opryland Resort...which, as it turns out, is a photographer's dream.  Between competitions, I took the opportunity to practice shooting waterfalls (since there were so many to choose from), and just enjoying the scenery.  Here is a just a sample of all the beauty that we saw.
