{Hello World - SOOC}

Hello World!

Is there anything more precious than fresh baby skin all pink and wrinkled?

 I was so blessed to be in the delivery room as Miss O made her grand entrance. My daughter, Mallorye, did an amazing job and worked so incredibly hard to bring this precious bundle into the world.

We haven't had an official "newborn shoot" just yet, so I thought I would share this SOOC shot of Miss O... believe it or not, this was taken when she was less than 24 hours old, in the hospital under those horrid lights.

{Austin, 6 months}

What a difference six months makes! Little Austin is now six months old, and such a handsome little man.  Those blue eyes just make my heart melt...Lauren and Sam, you will have your hands full with him :)  I am so thrilled that you asked me to take his pictures!  Hope you like this sneak peek!

{Lilyan, age 6 months}

I am so excited to post these pictures! The young lady whom I share the lab with (and who I have had the great privilege of being friends with) had her first child in August.  I have been itching to capture her beautiful baby girl on film since the day she was born, and today I finally got my chance!  Thank you Heather and Matt, for trusting me to photograph your baby girl! Enjoy the sneak peek!

{California Vacation}

Ok, so this was the first vacation that my husband and I took together (that did not involve a horse show) in several years.  We went to Pomona, California to watch the NHRA Winternationals...and since we ended up with an extra day (and no drag racing to watch), we did some sightseeing around the area.  Let me just tell you that after driving in rush hour LA traffic, I will never complain about my 30-minute commute again!!

This is looking out of the plane window between Denver and Burbank .  We decided that it was probably pretty close to the Grand Canyon, but it's kind of hard to tell when you're at 30,000 feet.
We also took a trip up Mt. Baldy (not even making that up, I promise!), but could not take pictures at the top, as the drizzle we'd had on the climb up turned into sleet and snow.
We spotted this small group of birch trees on our way up, but didn't get a picture until we were heading back down the mountain.

My husband and I were sitting outside the NHRA museum at the LA fairgrounds, waiting on our shuttle to take us back to our car, when I saw this.  I love how the clouds create streaks of color on the night sky!

Hollywood Bowl Overlook

This was the last shot I took at the Hollywood Bowl Overlook.  Believe me when I say, we spent all of two and a half hours in LA rush hour traffic just finding this place...and it was totally worth it!!

Flight into Little Rock Tuesday night gave us the opportunity to see the sunset from above the clouds.
