{Cooper's 1 Year Pictures}

I have had the privilege of watching this little man grow since he was just six weeks old.  What is so special about him is that he is only four days younger than my nephew...and has the most beautiful blue eyes...and blonde hair...and smile.  Ahh, Amanda and Corey, you're just going to have to lock him up until he's 30.  The girls are going to swoon over him!!!  Here are a few of my favorites from his session a couple of weeks ago!

Just so you know, I am getting older.  I forget things more than I used to (and if you knew me in my younger years, you realize my memory wasn't so good then either).  Having said that, I really, REALLY appreciate Carol and Stacy being patient enough to wait on me as I sped (no, officer, I did the speed limit. I promise) to the photography session this afternoon...but enough about me.  I had a lot of fun with this family (whom I've known for...well, several years) today. I hope you enjoy the sneak peek :)

 By far, one of my favorite shots today.  Thanks to whomever the photographer was that left this message on the steps.  It fit our picture perfectly!!

{Michael, 6 months}

Second to watching  your own children grow is probably watching your sister's (or brother's if that's your sibling of choice) children grow.  My nephews never cease to entertain me...partly because they are adorable, but mostly because I can be the cool aunt and do fun and crazy stuff with them :)

Those are quite possibly the cutest baby cheeks! 

This picture is eerily similar to a photograph taken when Kim and I were about their ages...right down to the expressions on their faces and body posture.

No, it's not the best photo of them...but I think their expressions are priceless!

{Cooper 6 months}

I absolutely love seeing babies grow and change during their first year :)  This little guy is going to be a heart-breaker when he grows up because even at six months, he is such a doll...and has so much personality!! Amanda and Corey, I seriously could have just taken oodles of photos of him...but I'm sure you had better things to do on a Saturday afternoon anyway.  Thanks guys for letting me capture him again...and I promise to have more well-behaved pets on your next visit :)

{Brailey}

Spent a little bit of my evening with this little doll, and loved every minute of it (ok, maybe not the messy diaper she shared with me)! She was so much fun to talk to and play with...and the best part is, I don't have to do the tough job of raising her :)  Darrian and Tyler, thanks for sharing Brailey with me tonight, hope you enjoy the preview!

{Austin, 1 Year}

If this little fella looks familiar, it's because we've been taking his picture since he was a newborn.  He has grown so much since we first saw him, but he is just as much fun.  I am telling you, I think he enjoys the photo shoots just as much as we do!  Lauren, he might just have a career in modeling...

Since I was in their area last weekend, I decided to try a spontaneous newborn shoot with my newest nephew, Michael...which would have been a wonderful experience, had someone informed Michael.  He had a bit of the newborn "I want nothing to do with laying in a cute, cuddly pose" attitude, so we got what few pictures we could manage, and made a vow to check in with him in a couple of weeks!

It always amazes me how quickly babies assume their personalities.  Some are quiet and docile, while others announce themselves with a flourish of trumpets.  I had the wonderful opportunity this afternoon to capture the spark of this little man's personality.  If today was any indication, Amanda and Corey, you are in for a wild ride!  Cooper is so alert and such a bundle of energy, he made my job that much more fun.  Thank you for sharing him with me for this moment, I hope you enjoy the sneak peek!

{Kim's Baby Shower}

Here are a few pictures from my sister's baby shower yesterday-probably just in time, too since the doctor just moved her due date up to May 9th! What a difference six months makes! Little Austin is now six months old, and such a handsome little man.  Those blue eyes just make my heart melt...Lauren and Sam, you will have your hands full with him :)  I am so thrilled that you asked me to take his pictures!  Hope you like this sneak peek!
