I'm glad the last fall session for 2013 was this family. I have worked with April for several years and there is never a dull moment when she's around; and yesterday was no different! I want to thank you all for such a fun afternoon!! Enjoy the sneak peek!

{Thing 1 and Thing 2}
No, that's not their real names. My nephews are dressing as the Dr. Seuss characters for Halloween (hopefully my sister will send me pictures of them in costume, since she and I worked so hard making them!) and I thought it would make a cute title for their latest photo session. I might add their session lasted all of about 15 minutes because toddlers generally do not sit well for photos :)

{Kaylyn, 4 Years}
I am totally smitten with this little girl...she is so much fun to photograph, and she's absolutely beautiful, too!!! She is the queen of all things "girl". Loves pink. Loves bling...and I figure with those stunning blue eyes (I didn't alter them at all!), it will be hard to tell her no!!
Thanks, Lindsay for braving the humidity and mosquitoes with me today!!!
Here are a few of my favorites so far :)

{Austin, 2 Years}
Wow. I really cannot believe it was two years ago that I captured Austin's first pictures...okay, his first "official" pictures. This little man loves trains. Loves to climb (not so big on the sliding yet, but give him time), and loves to play catch (well, really more like throw...and throw...and throw).
It has been so much fun watching him grow the past two years!!
Thank you, Lauren and Sam for the honors!

{Michael's First Birthday & 1-Yr Pictures}
So, I'm trying to catch up on the plethora (my high school English teacher would be proud) of photographs I've taken so far this month. I'm combining some shots of my nephew, Michael's, first birthday party and some from his 1-year shoot since the sessions were only, like, four days apart!

{Austin family}
Just so you know, I am getting older. I forget things more than I used to (and if you knew me in my younger years, you realize my memory wasn't so good then either). Having said that, I really, REALLY appreciate Carol and Stacy being patient enough to wait on me as I sped (no, officer, I did the speed limit. I promise) to the photography session this afternoon...but enough about me. I had a lot of fun with this family (whom I've known for...well, several years) today. I hope you enjoy the sneak peek :)
By far, one of my favorite shots today. Thanks to whomever the photographer was that left this message on the steps. It fit our picture perfectly!!
I seriously love these two boys!!
...and their feet. There is something sweet about baby and toddler feeties :)
I just love his expression here as brother gives him a kiss.

{My Family}
I love my family, but they are by far, the most challenging group of individuals to capture on film. It's a trait my sister and I inherit naturally, but we have added a few in-laws along the way that just make things more interesting. Inevitably, we will have every person smiling at the camera but one, and at some point, someone is going to throw some cross-eyed look into the one group shot where everyone else looks decent. What's sad is that the trouble-makers aren't the three or four-year olds, it's the ones that should know better! Major props to Mal for helping out with this group of characters! I owe you BIG TIME. To my sister and mother, the pictures are what they are. We did our best :)

{Michael, 6 months}
Second to watching your own children grow is probably watching your sister's (or brother's if that's your sibling of choice) children grow. My nephews never cease to entertain me...partly because they are adorable, but mostly because I can be the cool aunt and do fun and crazy stuff with them :)

| Those are quite possibly the cutest baby cheeks! |

| This picture is eerily similar to a photograph taken when Kim and I were about their ages...right down to the expressions on their faces and body posture. |
No, it's not the best photo of them...but I think their expressions are priceless!
